Twenty-seven percent in women typically means a softly rounded lower abdomen, full hips, and thighs that hide most quad separation. The waist is moderate. Arms are smooth. The face looks like a typical adult. This band is common. It often matches how people look in non-fitness photography — not staged, not depleted. Compared with 25%, the difference is a little more tissue in the same gynoid depots. Compared with 32%, the waist is smaller and the abdomen projects less. Sitting photos show a roll that standing photos minimize. As at neighboring levels, two women with the same DEXA can diverge if one carries substantially more glute and back muscle. A pump after training changes arm and shoulder photos more than it changes the midsection, because the fat layer over the abdomen is already the dominant surface.
