At 31%, female physiques generally show a deeper abdominal contour and fuller hips than the mid-20s. The waist-to-hip gap narrows. Arms and back carry more subcutaneous fat, which dulls muscle edges. The face is full. Thighs are a dominant storage site. This is a common adult result. Visual comparison with 28% shows a thicker middle and more femoral fat. Comparison with 34% is subtler and may be lost in clothing. Training can still add glute projection that photographs as shape without lowering the scan. DEXA remains useful here because scale weight and clothing size do not tell you how much of that mass is fat versus muscle. Posture changes the outline: ribs lifted versus slouched can look like different midsections in a still photo. The cards on this page keep the scan number attached so those pose effects are easier to notice.
