Twenty-four percent body fat on men is a softly rounded torso with little muscle grain visible through the midsection. Love handles and a lower-abdominal pouch are expected. The waist may approach or exceed the chest measurement on less muscular frames. Vascularity is not a feature. Facial fat can hide a sharp jaw on some bone structures. The lower back and hips store enough tissue that a rear view looks smooth. Legs appear thicker, not more defined. This band is common in mixed adult samples. The visual difference from the low 20s is incremental: another layer over the same landmarks. A trained 24% can still have broad shoulders; an untrained 24% looks closer to the population median reported in many Western surveys, which often sit in the mid-20s or higher.
